Jonathan, or Jasmine as she is now called, sat at her desk, staring out the kettle on the table. If she lifted the lid, she would be returned to her male body. The once-foreign rhythm of a woman's life had become strangely familiar. She hadn’t expected to enjoy it as much as she did—the bright apparel, the pampering of oneself, the camaraderie with her coworkers. It was a stark contrast to the drudgery of a man's life that she had grown accustomed to over the years.
She was supposed to return to her male body when the summer was over, but now, she wasn’t so sure. There was something about this new environment that felt more aligned with who she had become.
Her friends and family expected her to go back—after all, she had been a manly man. Or, at least, it had been. But the thought of returning to the masculinity filled her with uncertainty. Did she really want to go back? Or was it time for a change? The decision loomed over her, and as the summer drew to a close, Jasmine found herself questioning everything she'd thought she wanted.
